UTA Wants Much Money

UTA (the Utah Transit Authority) boasts that ridership is up as commuters avoid increased fuel prices.

Yet UTA has increased fares “because of increased fuel prices”. Does it cost more to run an electric train (TRAX, they call it) with 90 passengers than one with only 25 riders?

Increased passenger revenue should cover any increased costs - including those increased fuel prices.

And now that fuel prices have halved and passengers still ride UTA, still UTA collects exorbitant fares.

Two plus three made five when I was in school. If there are more riders, why does UTA need to increase its fares?

UTA fills its fare boxes on phony claims.
