In The Sixties, when we were protesting the use of coal (rather than developing and promoting solar, wind, and geothermal) a coal mine supporter declared, “But we have to use the coal now; in 25 years it won't be needed.”

It wasn’t necessary then and it is not necessary today. If we all would spend less time eating and more time doing our duties as citizens, we all sure would look more attractive.

I believe that historical changes have proved that mass protests by people can change the directions and policies of governments. Mass protests can even help to throw off foreign domination; maybe such protest--of an effectively-related kind--could pulverize the oppression of corporate dictators. The time has come.
